Anyone that administers vaccines is required to keep CPR training current. This will cover both adult and pediatric CPR. Blood Borne Pathogen training is included in this course as required by OSHA.
The room is Wet Lab 116- enter through the glass doors of the Steinberg Wellness Center.

Credit will be earned after completing the live activity and returning to pharmce.liu.edu to complete the evaluation & quiz.

At the conclusion of this activity, the attendee will be able to:
Apply your knowledge to properly administer CPR and under what conditions for adults and pediatrics
Interpret the various signs with a patient in distress and apply remedies including defibrillation
Identify which bodily fluids are potentially infectious to the healthcare provider
Describe concept of universal precautions
Describe proper procedures for handling needles & syringes and how to avoid needle sticks
Describe proper handling of contaminated materials
Identify the most common blood borne pathogens
