At the completion of the activity viewers will be able to:

1. Identify the differences between billing under Medicare Part B for medical supplies and transplant medications and those similar billings under Medicare Part D.
2. State the enrollment procedures and requirements and re-validation procedures regarding Medicare Part B Suppliers.
 3. Describe the effect of the Affordable Care Act on pharmacy compliance with integrity initiatives and understand requirements of Medicare Part D Fraud, Waste and Abuse annual training as well as similar requirements for participation in the New York State Medicaid Program.
 4. State the new revived enforcement procedures and audit initiatives regarding HIPPA by commercial pharmacy benefit managers.
5.  Describe how, why and where to check for excluded and disqualified prescribers, and potential employees due to various violations of both criminal and health care laws and related regulations.
