- Anthony J. Santella, DrPH, MPH, MCHES, CPH
- Dr. Anthony J. Santella, is Professor of Public Health and director of the Master of Public Health at Fairfield University’s Marion Peckham Egan School of Nursing & Health, specializing in infectious disease prevention and control. Dr. Santella is an applied health services researcher and evaluator specializing in HIV/AIDS, STDs, and sexual health with over two decades of experience in academia, government, and the private sector. Anthony is active in the community and nationally serving in leadership positions with the Long Island Ryan White HIV Planning Council, the American Public Health Association, and on the Board of Directors of The HIV League, a nonprofit organization which provides college scholarships to people living with HIV/AIDS. His research helps improve population health outcomes among people with and at risk for HIV/AIDS and other STDs, gender and sexual minorities, justice-involved persons, youth and adolescents, and people who experience homelessness. Dr. Santella earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Connecticut, a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management from Emory University, a Doctor of Public Health in Health Systems Management from Tulane University, and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Health Professions Pedagogy and Leadership from Hofstra University.
